People within our society tend to forget that ecology and the environment are not simply a subset of scientific knowledge , but are in fact the basis for all life on this planet and even the existence of the economy (I wish I didn’t have to put even in that sentence). Not only is the common perception of importance within our society wrong, it appears to in many ways actually be an inverse version of traditional/rational values.
