Even though few of us in the “civilized” world notice it: there is an ever-dwindling supply of clean water on this planet. That which remains continues to be polluted, used in industry, and sold in little plastic bottles. Water is the most important and necessary resource we have, and technologies like the solar still cannot solve the problems that are stemming from the reduced availability of fresh water.
We must protect our remaining clean water, and part of that stems in demanding more responsibility for environmental damage. And although the number who children who die daily is likely “only” around 2,200 a day, this is a major human rights and environmental issue.
