By decentralizing production and creating methods that both make prototype design cheaper and final products more resource efficient, we are fueling innovation and reducing waste. Many will comment that no form of energy production, or production at all, is possible without destroying the environment. It is also impossible for you to feed yourself without another organism being forced to sacrifice for it. The issue is the relative environmental damage, and decentralized efficient production and prototype design, powered by sources like bladeless wind energy or thorium, present far better alternatives than the path humans will otherwise take.
