Citizens of the United States have remained patient in the face of skyrocketing educational costs; far outpacing any growth in earnings. Instead of rethinking our educational paradigm or even just rethinking our priorities and strategies, policy has continued to march straight forwards into the minefield of standardization. Instead of appreciating and offering resources to teachers, they are simply treated like machines and punished when they fail to “meet standards.”
