In 2008, the people of Iceland reacted to the global economic crisis with widespread protest and dissatisfaction with the political inaction that led to the crisis in the first place.

Unlike in the United States, where the protests led to approximately zero political changes were robo-signing wasn’t punished and the banks were bailed out with essentially zero-interest loans, Iceland stood up to the bankers in what should have been a wake-up call to the rest of the world. Largely ignored by the mainstream media, and presented in shocking little detail by the alternative media, the story is now presented in this hour-long documentary that can hopefully act as inspiration for those of us living beyond the icy shores of Iceland.
